In conjunction with ICCV 2009

Scope

The S3DV Workshop will be held in conjunction with ICCV 2009, Kyoto, Japan on September 27 th, 2009.

Papers in the workshop program must describe high-quality, original research. Topics of interest include all aspects of, and areas related to, the following:

 

    3D shape features for matching; 3D similarity measures; robust features for Video search;

    3D segmentation; 3D object detection;

    3D scene recognition; 3D human activity recognition and monitoring;

    Search based on range data; Search in multi-view (implicit 3D) video;

    Searching 3D panoramic image databases, potentially for mobile navigation and localization;

    Efficient search and matching in 3D image databases, including search based on partial view of objects;

    Search driven by 3D information extracted from video, such as 3D motion segmentation, optic flow, and other vision characteristics;

    Measuring perceptual relevance of retrieval;

    Machine learning in 3D and Video search;

    Analysis of search parameters, for example using historical knowledge of prior search, e.g. using VisTrails in search;

    Applications: Online browsing for heritage, tourism and e-commerce, autonomous navigation, security and surveillance, mobile navigation, and others.

 

 

Submission Guideline

   All submissions will be handled electronically. Submission instructions will be posted on the conference website (http://www.iccv2009.org) in due course. Reviewing will be double-blind. In submitting a manuscript to S3DV, authors acknowledge that no paper substantially similar in content has been or will be submitted to another conference or workshop during the review period (July 10 ¨C July 31, 2009).
